Heads up! 🚧 Starting Wednesday, students who use the West entrance (closest to the parking lot) will be diverted away from the Atrium to the ground-floor ramp, stairs and elevators as the college prepares the Atrium for Thursday’s Alumni Hall of Fame Gala – the biggest event of the year for the Wertheim College.

Want to skip the detour? Use the first-floor Gaines Street or Collins Colonnade (Exchange Cafe!) entrances instead. We expect foot traffic to return to normal on Friday. Thanks for your patience and support during this big week for !

Mark O’Bryant, CEO of FSU Health Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, on Friday shared insights about his career and the healthcare industry with students in Business Engage 100, a Business Career Services program that helps business-intent freshmen shape their success and flourish during their first year at FSU.

O’Bryant spoke in the Gail & Bob Knight Auditorium to three sections of the Business Engage 100 course. He discussed, among other topics, his career, the importance of leading change, and the myriad career opportunities in the healthcare industry.

“Have any of you thought about healthcare (as a profession)?” O’Bryant asked students in one session. “How did you get interested in health care from a business perspective? It’s ripe for great business leaders.”

Students in our Brown & Brown-sponsored Business Living Learning Community took advantage of an opportunity to hear last week from two leaders of the Florida Surplus Lines Service Office, another big supporter of .

Mark Shealy, FSLSO's CEO and executive director, and Ashlee Weber, the organization's director of communications, shared practical advice, real-world career examples and expert insights that gave our first-year students a good, useful glimpse of the insurance industry.

Our MBA students recently welcomed Terrie Ard, partner, president and COO of The Moore Agency, for last week’s Graduate Professional Development session hosted by Business Career Services.

Ard, an FSU alumna and a member of Florida Trend’s “Florida 500” list of the state’s most influential executives, shared the importance of data to make decisions, keep talented employees, build strong relationships and help organizations grow. Students also received an early preview of The Moore Agency’s 2027 M.Cast™ Trends Report, the agency’s annual strategic foresight and trend analysis brief, before its release this week.

ReliaQuest signage, graphics, events and ingenuity ruled the day at the Herbert Wertheim Center for Business Excellence.

As part of ReliaQuest Day and FSU Discovery Days on Monday, the Wertheim College hosted events including the Quest for What’s Next pitch competition and an evening networking reception that included food, gear and meaningful conversations. The afternoon also included a conversation with FSU men’s basketball coach Luke Loucks.

Elsewhere on campus, ReliaQuest Day featured games, presentations, hands-on simulations, breakout sessions and meets-and-greets with company team members.

ReliaQuest is the company of Brian Murphy, a member of the Wertheim College Alumni Hall of Fame. And what a day of discovery for ReliaQuest, FSU and the Wertheim College!
