We want to say a big thank you to The University of Alabama’s Chapter of the NAACP for coming out and giving us some information on upcoming voter deadlines! (The last day to register to vote in Alabama is TODAY October 19!)

We would also like to thank Savannah Strong and Kameron Baba for stopping by and explaining their platforms for homecoming! Voting takes place tomorrow, Tuesday, October 20 from 7 AM to 7 PM!

Lastly, shout out to everybody who stopped by at AJIAN for our percentage night to enjoy some sushi 🍣😋

What a successful September that was full of service & sisterhood! 💜🤍

We kicked off the month with the Sickle Cell Awareness Walk hosted by the Sickle Cell Association of West AL.

NCNW was also able to participate in the organization takeover tabling and meeting to introduce our events and initiatives for this year.

That same week, we had a self defense class in collaboration with NSBWM to learn why self defense is important and we also got to learn some cool moves!

We would like to give a big thank you again to UA Votes Everywhere for inviting us out to help with tabling for National Voter Registration Day! We would also like to thank SGA for inviting us out to the Captsone Wellness Explorer Kickoff.

We wrapped up our month with our Sickle Cell Forum in collaboration with NMDP on Campus with materials provided by the Sickle Cell Association of West AL.

Lastly we would like to shoutout our mentorship crew who have been serving at Southview Elementary on Mondays & Fridays!
