Tide rolls deep. 🌊

Between our Independent Living and Social Inclusion Coordinator, our Program and Recruitment Associate, a mentor, and our intern, we had plenty of perspectives at our table at the AT Alabama conference! We can’t wait for day two and even more conversations we’ll have.

"It's not 'goodbye'...instead, it's 'see you later.'"

Yesterday, we celebrated Mr. Christopher Johnson's retirement from the CrossingPoints Program and The University of Alabama. Our students, staff, and community partners joined us for a sendoff befitting of Mr. Chris. Throughout his five years with us and 15 years total in inclusive education, Mr. Johnson was an exceptional team member, advocate, and friend. While we will miss him in supporting our students, we cannot wait to see what retirement holds for him. We wish him and his family the very best as he embarks on retired life!

Join us in celebrating Mr. Chris by dropping him a note in the comments!

Congratulations on homeownership, Chase! 🔑 He chose well by working with our friends at The Gray Group at Keller Williams Realty Tuscaloosa.

We’re thrilled and proud to see students purchasing their own homes and building an independent life. This only further confirms our statistic that 8 out of 10 of our graduates live outside of the family home upon graduation.

Our students are back on campus! Earlier today, we did a scavenger hunt on campus (stay tuned for that post 🤳), but we stopped by the Kappa Delta - The University of Alabama house to show our support during recruitment! 💚 If you didn’t know, our program has a years-long relationship with UA’s chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority and the brothers of Alpha Tau Omega National Fraternity at UA. We can’t wait to meet their incoming classes!
