Speaker: Prof. Zoy Anastassakis
An anthropologist and designer, Zoy Anastassakis is Associate Professor at the School of Industrial Design (ESDI), State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), Brazil, where she currently serves as Director and coordinates the Design and Anthropology Laboratory (LaDA). Together with her colleagues, she has led initiatives to rethink and redesign campus life—an experience documented in her book, co-authored with Marcos Martins, Everyday Acts of Design: Learning in a Time of Emergency (Bloomsbury, Design in Dark Times series, 2022).
Respondent: Mr. Kam-Fai Chan (Social Design Programme, Hong Kong Polytechnic University)
Kam-Fai Chan has been teaching in the Social Design programme at PolyU Design since its launch in 2017. His interests include design practice as sensemaking, the philosophy of social design, and the constellations between art, design, and social change. He is a founding member of Soil Trust (est. 2021), an eco-social design intervention for a soil-to-soil economy, which received the Don Norman Design Award in 2024.

Zoy Anastassakis是人類學家兼設計師,現任巴西里約熱內盧州立大學(UERJ)工業設計學院(ESDI)副教授兼院長,並主持設計與人類學實驗室(LaDA)。她與同事共同推動了一系列重新構想及重新設計校園生活的計劃,相關經驗記錄於她與Marcos Martins合著的專書 Everyday Acts of Design: Learning in a Time of Emergency(Bloomsbury出版社,Design in Dark Times系列,2022年)。

陳錦輝自2017年香港理工大學設計學院社會設計課程創辦以來一直任教至今。他的研究興趣包括作為意義建構的設計實踐、社會設計哲學,以及藝術、設計與社會變革之間的種種連結。他是「泥玩」(Soil Trust,2021年成立)的創始成員之一;該計劃是一項推動「土壤到土壤」經濟的生態社會設計介入,並榮獲2024年Don Norman設計大獎。
