New edition of Musics of Latin America,

This new edition, edited by Prof. Robin Moore, is important because it transforms Musics of Latin America from a traditional printed textbook into a free, fully digital, and interactive learning resource, making it much more accessible for educators, students, and the public. https://musicsoflatinamerica.org/

LLILAS Benson is pleased to announce a call for submissions for the 15th Field Notes Student Photography Exhibition. UT students in any discipline are invited to submit original work related to Latin America, US Latinx communities, and the Black diaspora in the Americas. The deadline for submissions is September 14, 2026.

Upload photos and information here: https://utexas.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9KRdYDPkYj8weKG

This annual exhibition highlights the importance of student research, work, and volunteerism across the spectrum of fields in Latin American, Latinx, and Black diaspora studies. The images do not necessarily have to come from Latin America, as long as the theme is related to the broader Latin America/Latinx/Black Diaspora subject areas.
