This summer, Political Science student Aubrey Talton interned in Washington, D.C., on Capitol Hill! Here's what she has to say about her experience! "This internship has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Over the past few weeks, I have had the opportunity to network and learn more about the legislative process firsthand. This experience has strengthened my passion for serving others and pursuing a career in government. Every day is different, whether it is answering constituent phone calls, researching legislation, giving Capitol tours, attending meetings, listening to speakers, or meeting government officials. Outside of working, I have had the opportunity to explore the nation’s capital and visit some of my favorite places, like the Library of Congress, the National Mall, and the National Museum of American History. I am so grateful for everything I have learned and everyone I have met, and I can't wait to apply what I have learned to my future career or in the classroom."
We are all so proud of all of our students who spent the summer working and interning! Can't wait to have our Blazers back on campus in the Fall!
