Honors students explored creative expression by learning how to craft erasure poems, transforming pre-existing texts into original works by selectively removing words.

🔥 Honors Serves: Community Partner Spotlight ➡️ Jones Valley Teaching Farm at the Center for Food Education 🫶

Honors students helped support hands-on garden and space upkeep at the Center for Food Education, a hub for food, health, and sustainability learning in Birmingham.

Through their service, students supported a space that provides education programs, community gardening, fresh produce, and training opportunities that connect people to healthier food systems.

Honors students partnered with HCLC and UHP for an eco-friendly service night, making dog toys, later donated to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society. A hands-on way to give back to our community and our furry friends! 🐶 🐾
