Calling all Hokies, Corps alumni, and Corps parents! You are invited to a reception hosted by the Corps of Cadets in Virginia Beach and Newport News. Meet Maj. Gen. Seely, the commandant of cadets, and hear recent updates about the Corps. We are hosting two events: one at New Realm Brewing in Virginia Beach on Tuesday, Nov. 17, and one at the Virginia Tech Newport News Center on Wednesday, Nov. 18. You are welcome to attend either event, as programming will be the same at both gatherings. We hope you will join us! Here is the link to register: https://aimsbbis.vt.edu/corps-gathering-757.

We had an amazing Homecoming and Highty-Tighty reunion last week! The HT alumni band did a phenomenal job marching in the Homecoming parade Friday night and performing in the pregame activities on Saturday. It was great hearing from the HT alumni at their annual meeting on Saturday morning. Bringing our alumni back together and seeing them perform with our regimental band was fantastic!

The countdown for Homecoming and the Highty-Tighty Reunion is on! We are excited for our Highty-Tighty alumni band to march in the Homecoming Parade through downtown Blacksburg Friday night, along with the Corps regiment and other special parade guests. Saturday is going to be a great day for our HT alumni to march onto Worsham Field as we go up against Georgia Tech. We're looking forward to welcoming our alumni back to Blacksburg for an exciting weekend! Check out the schedule of activities for Highty-Tighty Reunion: https://vtcc.vt.edu/alumni/ht-reunion.html

Nothing beats the energy of Corps Reunion weekend! From marching on the field to swapping stories on Upper Quad, Corps alumni spanning decades came together to celebrate our shared legacy.

Highlights included the Old Guard Pass in Review, dinner on Fullhart Plain, game day in Lane Stadium, and panels marking 20 years of Hokie Heroes and the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11.

Thank you to the hundreds of alumni who shared their time and laughs with us this weekend and congratulations to our newest members of the Old Guard, the Class of 1976!

Check the link in the comments below for our first round of photos from the weekend, and standby for more. Go Hokies!

The Virginia Tech vs. VMI game is Saturday night! We're excited to see Coach Franklin lead the Hokies to victory for his first game this season, especially since the last time we played VMI was 1984. This year marks the 80th match-up against VMI, and we first played them in 1894. Come check out the Corps Museum's display, “Rivalry Renewed: The History of the Virginia Tech vs VMI Football Rivalry,” created by our Museum Manager, Ellie Smith. It will be on display until Friday, September 4th. To learn more, watch this video created by VT Athletics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=482s2MASR7w

A little throwback photo for our alumni! Here’s a 2014 photo of the Rock and the Corps flagpole when they were near the Mechanical Arts building and Femoyer Hall. If you’re on campus for Corps Reunion, be sure to come to our Upper Quad tour or do a self guided tour! See the beautiful grounds and visit the Corps historical landmarks on Upper Quad.

Congratulations to the Class of 2030 on completing Forge Week! They leaned on one another through the hardest moments, stood tall when it mattered most, and embraced intensity with focus and grit.

Their journey has just begun, but today—we celebrate them.
