We are pleased to welcome Dr. Sarah Jusseaume as Clinical Associate Professor of Educational Leadership and Coordinator of the Education Doctorate (Ed.D.)!

Dr. Jusseaume holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of New Hampshire. She has taught in K-12, adult, community college, and international settings. Sarah previously worked at Plymouth State University as Associate Professor of Practice. Dr. Jusseaume’s research focuses on identity development among first-generation college students in New Hampshire and on the post-secondary experiences of adolescents and emerging adults. As Coordinator of the Ed.D., Sarah will be guiding the continued development of the program and building relationships with school districts and institutions of higher education (IHE) across the state and region.

She is excited to return to UNH and to work with new colleagues, students, and members of the UNH community!

Excited to highlight the incredible work of Professor Bethany Silva at UNH!

As director of the Community Literacy Center, Professor Silva is leading innovative efforts to strengthen literacy and STEM skills among New Hampshire’s middle schoolers.

Through the SLATE project, her team connects UNH student tutors with middle schoolers to boost success in reading, math, and science—helping students thrive across subjects and inspiring the next generation of educators.

SLATE, a UNH project that combines tutoring by UNH students with professional learning for middle school teachers to enhance student achievement in literacy, writing, and STEM, will expand to 40 New Hampshire middle schools.

We are almost at the end of our first week-long summer residency for our Ed.D. program! Since the Ed.D. program is 85% online, it has been really great for everyone to see each other face-to-face! This week has been filled with engaging discussions about the students' 'problems of practice', presentations from guest speakers from the library, IRB, and our department, and opportunities to build connection within the program.
