Celebrating culture, food, and community at UT! 🍊

"Students, faculty, and staff from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, gathered Friday, October 23, at the HSS Lawn and Amphitheater to celebrate culture, food, and community during the annual International Festival.

A total of 33 booths consisting of various student organizations and campus partners came together with goals of fundraising, engaging students and sharing information. Some students and faculty took to the stage to perform songs, dance, and fashion throughout the festival."

Yesterday, university and community leaders gathered in the Governor’s Suite at The Tennessean Hotel to welcome alumnus Yosh*toshi "Yoshi" Momoki (’93), owner of the Good Ole Tennessee Bar Good Ole Tennessee Bar in Japan, back to Rocky Top. Yoshi was honored during the reception as an honorary Tennessean in celebration for his work championing the Volunteer spirit abroad.

Knoxville and Muroran, Japan, are connected through a special sister-city partnership, and we were excited to welcome Muroran Mayor Takeshi Aoyama, Ph.D, and a delegation of city officials and local teachers to Rocky Top last Friday! 🌎🧡

The group received a warm welcome from International House Director Lauren Wood, explored campus on a walking tour, and wrapped up their visit with a stop at the Vol Shop.
