Global USA Global USA is the division under Academic Affairs responsible for coordination of all international The office also oversees the Visiting Scholars program.

About USA Global

Global USA houses all international and continuing education offices. This includes:

The Office of Global Outreach and International Student Services which is responsible for international student recruitment, international student orientation, international student support services, and special events. The Office of Immigration and International Admissions which is responsible

for immigration compliance (SEVIS) for the campus as well as admissions of international students at the ESL, undergraduate, graduate, and exchange levels. The Office of International Education which is responsible for Study Abroad and student exchange for domestic students, and international partnerships. The English Language Center, which provides instruction in the study of English as a second language for international students seeking admissions into degree programs as well as for short-term group programs. The Center for Continuing Education and Conference Services which is responsible for noncredit offerings including training programs, certificate programs, camps, conferences, adult education classes, lecture series, Odyssey USA, and other special programs. In addition to these areas, GLOBAL USA includes USA Baldwin County which encompasses the campus in Fairhope and the campus in Gulf Shores. Both of these locations offer a variety of credit and non-credit options to the surrounding region, as well as hosting international-related projects. Dr. Richard Carter is the Associate Vice President of Global Engagement.

We wanted to highlight Barsha who is pursuing a Ph.D in Systems Engineering at South!! 🇳🇵

During Water Week, Barsha visited Capitol Hill as a Water Environment federation (WEF) YP Scholar to meet with congressional representatives and staff. Along with other Wed members, she advocated for stronger investment in water infrastructure, wastewater resilience, and sustainable water policies, especially for small communities across the U.S.

Currently, she is working on research focused on the connection between water/wastewater infrastructure and economic development, helping communities improve water systems in ways that support long-term economic development, job creation, small business development, public health, improving lives of rural communities. Keep up the great work, Barsha!
