Arrascada was elected in November 2020 to serve on the Board of Regents as the representative for District 10. He is a member of the Academic, Research and Student Affairs Committee; Audit, Compliance and Title IX Committee; Investment Committee; and Security Committee.

During today’s beautiful sunny afternoon, I began reminiscing and drove to the beginning of my higher education, Truckee Meadows Community College. A magnificent campus to say the least!

TMCC is adding another dimension to higher education with the construction of the East View Theater! Here, instruction will include Acting, Theater, Dance, Theater Technician training and Musical performances just to name a few. The Theater will also host public events of all sorts and will be a cinema for film studies and festivals. The East View building will be home to constant instruction on and off the stage. All of this under one roof with a magnificent view!

I did my civic duty and early voted yesterday. I'm honored to serve in a system in which all citizens have the right to vote and be heard.

Early voting continues through Oct. 30th, any voter can go to any location. You can also mail a ballot or drop off your mail in ballot at any Early Voting location and of course you can vote on Election Day!

I'd be honored to earned your vote!

Today, I toured the nearly completed indoor/outdoor Wolf Pack Fieldhouse. So impressive! The students deserve tremendous credit for embracing the Wolf Pack tradition of “paying it forward” and investing in future generations of alumni.

This facility will benefit our softball and football teams, band, cheer team and intramural sports just to name a few.

I am so proud to be an alumnus!

Great news for Nevada students! This past week the U.S. Department of Education announced the 2027–28 FAFSA is open and accepting applications. The department highlighted several improvements to FAFSA, including clearer language, invitations by text message and real-time results. This is big news for all students pursuing higher education!

The Nevada System of Higher Education consists of the College of Southern Nevada, the two campuses of the Desert Research Institute, Great Basin College, Nevada State University, Truckee Meadows Community College, UNLV, the University of Nevada and Western Nevada College. Each campus plays a pivotal role delivering education, employment and development.
