For Abigail, the Honors experience extended beyond the classroom and into the local community. As a Human Development and Family Science major, she completed an honors contract in HDFS 371 by interviewing representatives from nonprofit organizations throughout the Reno-Sparks area and presenting on their impact, services, and contributions to the community.

Honors contracts give students the opportunity to enrich their coursework through meaningful, hands-on projects that connect academic learning with real-world experiences.
