The last full month of summer saw the helping out with back to school welcoming events for local K-12 schools and the University campus. We welcomed our new Executive Board, and continued strengthening our partnerships as we head into another packed schedule of Hispanic Heritage Month while also planning for much more to come during the 2026-2027 school year.

Aaaaand like that…the first week of this semester has come and gone! We are kicking things off at the Multicultural Center with the Indigenous Student Connect next Monday. Come joins us for snacks and socializing! Community is everything and we wouldn’t have been able to pull off any of the Affinity Celebrations without the help of our campus and community partners! With deep gratitude, and all the love, thank you for all the hard work, care, and dedication you provided to help with this year’s celebrations!🫶

We are excited to continue our Talk Story Series with Changing the Script: API Americans in Media! Join us TOMORROW, April 23rd, from 6-8 PM right here at The Multicultural Center for a conversation about the history of Asian Pacific Islander Americans in media, stereotypes, and the shift to modern representation.
