ANOTHER NATIONAL HONOR FOR OSU NREM! 👏

Congratulations to NREM graduate student Olive Prichard on earning second place nationally for her research poster presentation at the 2026 Society of American Foresters National Convention in Tacoma, Washington!

This recognition highlights Olive’s contribution to the forestry field conducted with her Master’s thesis advisor, Dr. Ryan DeSantis.

SECOND IN THE NATION! 👏

Oklahoma State University's Forestry Quiz Bowl team advanced to the final round out of 33 teams nationwide at the 2026 Society of American Foresters National Convention in Tacoma, Washington!

Congratulations to team members Jeff Bumgarner (captain), Isaiah Newkirk, Brooke Payne and Ethan Shuck, along with faculty advisor Dr. Bryan Murray, on this outstanding accomplishment!

Members of OSU's SAF Student Chapter also participated in educational sessions, networking and professional development opportunities throughout the convention.

From Oklahoma to the National Stage. 🌲

Oklahoma State University's Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management was well represented at the 2026 Society of American Foresters National Convention in Tacoma, Washington!

Throughout the convention, NREM graduate students shared their research through presentations, including a dedicated Oklahoma-focused session highlighting research happening right here at OSU.

Several NREM faculty members also contributed through their national leadership roles within the Society of American Foresters.

From presenting research to building professional connections, our students and faculty continue to represent Oklahoma State and contribute to the future of forestry and natural resource management.

Why Buy a Wreath?

Every dollar supports our students. All proceeds go directly to the OSU SAF Student Chapter.
It's our main fundraiser of the year. It allows us to attend professional conferences nationwide, explore Oklahoma forestry on field trips, and host fellowship events with other OSU clubs.
Your support gets results. At this year's SAF National Convention, our students placed second nationally in Quiz Bowl against 30+ other colleges and universities. Another member took second place in the Research Poster Competition. None of this would be possible without supporters like you!
