【PolyU Summer Institute 2026】

A huge thank you to the local and overseas students of the PolyU Summer Institute 2026 who joined another one-day attachment programme hosted by the PolyU Business School (PBS) on 30 July.

We hope you enjoyed the thematic talk by Prof. Anthony Pang, Associate Head and Programme Leader of BBA-GBL and BBA-SCMA, which covered interesting logistics facts and highlighted our double degree study option in partnership with Copenhagen Business School (CBS). Furthermore, we hope you were inspired by the Business Simulation Game supported by Ir Prof. TL Yip, BBA-ISTL Programme Leader, where students were challenged to apply their strategic thinking and problem-solving skills in a business case.

It was a pleasure contributing to your summer experience of a lifetime at PolyU. We look forward to seeing you learn from a wide variety of undergraduate-level courses in the coming week!

【PolyU Summer Institute 2026】

On 28 July, PolyU Business School (PBS) hosted a one-day attachment programme for both local and international students participating in the PolyU Summer Institute 2026.

Our LMS professors enriched the event with interactive activities. Prof. Anthony Pang, Associate Head and Programme Leader of BBA-GBL and BBA-SCMA, delivered a thematic talk titled “Achievable Global Business Double Degree with a Specialisation in Logistics” offering valuable insights into future academic and career pathways. Ir Prof. T.L. Yip, BBA-ISTL Programme Leader, facilitated a Business Simulation Game that fostered teamwork and strategic thinking. Additionally, our Student Ambassador, Miss Isma Anggita Rana (BBA-AMF), provided valuable support throughout the Residential Camp and attachment programme.

This event offered students a fantastic opportunity to experience university life, connect with peers, and explore the diverse academic pathways available at PolyU. We are eagerly looking forward to the next session on 30 July, where even more exciting activities and valuable insights await.

Interested in business case analysis but think university-level competitions are out of reach? You're not alone. We're closing that gap by giving secondary school students a free opportunity to experience the rigour of real university-level case competitions.

Presented by student-led organisation Biz Sense in partnership with ISM-HK and PolyU LMS, the Hong Kong affiliate of the world's oldest and largest supply management association, founded in 1915. ISM-HK's previous case competitions have drawn over 30 teams from universities across Hong Kong and Asia, with finalists presenting at their annual professional conferences to audiences of over 200 senior industry executives. Now, together with Colgate, we are bringing this same calibre of competition to secondary school students for the very first time. The "Biz Sense x ISM-HK Case Competition" is officially open for registration! You'll be trained by industry professionals and top university case competition awardees, and compete against students from across Hong Kong and Macau for cash prizes of over HKD 4,000.

In a recent article, Prof. Kee-hung Lai (Mike Lai), Associate Dean (Academic Support) of the PolyU Business School, Interim Head of LMS, and Co-Director of the Research Centre for Environmental, Social, and Governance Advancement at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, notes that the Red Sea crisis is a systemic network disruption affecting the global port system. Prof. Anthony Pang from the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies delivered an engaging talk on how PBS integrates cutting-edge AI applications into our business curriculum to equip graduates for an evolving professional landscape.
