🔴3. 杜震謙 《從前有座山》（2025 | 劇情片 | 17’| 此片於2024 年榮獲由亞洲電影大獎學院主辦的「香港短片國際電影創作營獎」，並於去年在意大利舉行的第 27 屆遠東電影節作世界首映。）

(2026 | Narrative Film | 34’ | Received the Louis Koo Creative Media Awards 2025/26)
🔴3. “Once Upon a Time There Was a Mountain” by TO Chun Him
(2025 | Narrative Film | 17’ | The film won an International Film Camp (IFC) Award for Hong Kong short films in 2024 and had its world premiere at the 27th Far East Film Festival in Italy last year.)

(2023 | Narrative Film | 25’| The film was selected for the 2023 Shanghai International Film Festival “Making Waves – Navigators of Hong Kong Cinema”, 27th LA Shorts International Film Festival and the Beijing International Short Film Festival 2026.)

⭐From Classroom Project to Industry Stage: BScCM at DELF 2026

Student projects from our BScCM programme stole the spotlight at this year's Digital Entertainment Leadership Forum (DELF 2026), earning a strong reception from industry guests.

Special thanks to Mr. Terence Leung, Senior Manager of Cyberport Digital Entertainment & Esports, for selecting three standout BScCM student projects from the 20th SIG Playful Media Showcase 2026. We were thrilled to see “The Last Train”, “Panda & the Missing Pals”, and “Architect Master” featured at DELF 2026!

For the students, it was a jump from classroom project to public stage — presenting their work directly to industry professionals, and a real step toward the connections that matter most.

城大本科課程資訊日將於10月3日（星期六）舉行！歡迎同學、家長、老師們親臨城大！

▶️創意媒體學院（SCM）當日上午9時30分至下午5時會設有多項豐富活動，包括:

🗣️入學講座、校友及學生分享，可以即場向教授和師兄師姐進行入學諮詢。

📽️🎭《Pupa》由創意媒體學院學生魏浠而及侯卓盈創作，揉合投影映射、紙藝及形體劇場，引領觀眾踏上一段遊走於真實與虛幻之間的蛻變自我探索之旅。當日於多媒體劇院表演兩場！

🎬展示學生近年榮獲獎項及被提名獎項的優秀動畫及電影短片，以及校友杜震謙的兩部短片《Overman》和《從前有座山》。

🚩參觀學院展覽及設施，欣賞著名建築師丹尼·列比斯堅（Daniel Libeskind）的設計地標。

💡到Gallery 360 欣賞 CITY IN TIME，透過沉浸式擴增實境（AR）與藝術結合，將舊香港的歷史娓娓道來，讓觀眾得到不一樣的城市文物體驗。

CityUHK Undergraduate Info Day will be held on 3 October! Students, parents and teachers are all welcome to come to CityUHK!

▶️School of Creative Media (SCM) will present a variety of activities from 9:30 am to 5 pm, including:

🗣️Admissions Talk, Alumni and Student Sharing, where you can get admission advice from our professors and alumni.

📽️🎭: Pupa by SCM students Ngai Hei Yee Mia and Hau Cheuk Ying Charlie, blends projection mapping, paper crafting, and physical theatre to take audiences on a metamorphic journey of self-discovery between truth and deceit. Two performances will be held at the Multimedia Theatre that day!

🎬A showcase of outstanding animations and short films by students who have received awards or award nominations in recent years, alongside two short films by alumnus To Chun Him: Overman and Once Upon a Time There Was a Mountain.

🚩Take a tour of the SCM’s exhibition and facilities. Experience the landmark designed by renowned architect Daniel Libeskind.

💡Gallery 360 features CITY IN TIME, which combines immersive augmented reality (AR) and art to tell the history of old Hong Kong, giving audiences a different experience of the city‘s heritage.

🤩Reservations are not required. CityUHK will arrange shuttle buses to facilitate travel between the main campus and the Creative Media Centre for participants.

For SoundLab Presents, Kirsten will present some of her multi-channel works that she composed over the years spanning different themes and soundworlds and with different approaches regarding concepts of spatial diffusion (Deckkraft/opacity with multilayered field recordings composed for SoundDome ZKM Karlsruhe in 2011; Atmende Kugel Revisited with archival sound material relating to the rotating loudspeaker sphere of Hermann Scherchen from the 1960ies; and excerpts of recent multi-channel compositions relating to ecoacoustic research and sound transformation).

💥 Berlin-based composer and sound artist Kirsten Reese blends electroacoustic music, field recordings, and site-specific installations—often exploring ecological themes and human-algorithmic voices. A live electronics performer and professor at UdK Berlin, her work has been showcased at festivals like Donaueschinger Musiktage and Wien Modern.

Following her performance at SoundLab Hong Kong, Kirsten will tour Singapore, Bandung, and Manila with her live-electronic ensemble Boeseblick, with support from the Goethe-Institut. 🎶✨

About the Artist:

Iva Polanecká is a Czech artist and curator working across sound, audiovisual art, and new media. Her artistic practice is rooted in deep listening, field recording, and acoustic ecology, exploring sound as a way of sensing and understanding places, environments, and their transformations. Alongside her artistic practice, she is a curator at Kunsthalle Praha, where she focuses on audiovisual and new media art and on projects at the intersection of art, technology, sound, and contemporary culture. Her work moves between curatorial research and artistic practice, with a particular interest in listening as a form of attention and a way of engaging with the world around us.
