The MHSA is a student association within the University of Malta founded in 2009. The MHSA was the brainchild of two students from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Christian Ellul and Clinton Schembri Francalanza. The need for a single association to represent all the students studying at the faculty has been felt for quite some time. The faculty and former Institute was only one of the few within

the University of Malta not to have a students representing body. Now with 10 departments, the Faculty of Health Sciences is one of the larger faculties of the UOM, hence the need for an association was further highlighted. Currently the faculty has over 1000 registered students. Today the MHSA is an active and dynamic association with an executive board made up of 12 different courses.
