UAB IT is composed of professionals who provide a wide range of services to support the research, academic and administrative work of the UAB community.

Technology is a key component to achieving UAB's core mission. Technology advances healthcare, empowers research and scholarship, and supports operations and administration. While our colleagues and partners may be many and varied, our commitment to a robust and secure technology framework is singular and strong. A framework that maximizes the utilization and effectiveness of technology, that provides innovative resources that meet UAB’s technology needs in a cost effective, coordinated and efficient manner, and that protect and secure information and systems.

Create strong passwords that meet UAB requirements and avoid using the same password across multiple accounts. Strong, unique passwords make it harder for attackers to gain access to your information.

A phishing scam targeting the UAB community is circulating via email and attempts to steal credentials and Duo codes. Stay alert, trust your instincts, and never approve a Duo request you didn't initiate.

If you spot a suspicious message, use the Phish Report button in Outlook or forward it to [email protected].
