The Norwegian Association for Feeding and Nutrition Difficulties in Children has adopted a policy whereby hospitals across Norway will incorporate the Sensory Profile™ 2 into the assessment of feeding and eating difficulties in children and adolescents.

This decision reflects a growing recognition that sensory processing can play a significant role in feeding challenges, food acceptance, mealtime participation, and overall health and well-being. By using the Sensory Profile 2 as part of a comprehensive evaluation process, clinicians can gain valuable insights into how a child's sensory patterns may influence feeding and eating behaviors.

What makes this initiative especially noteworthy is the Association's commitment to quality implementation. In addition to adopting the assessment, they have invested in formal training for clinicians, helping ensure that the Sensory Profile 2 is administered, interpreted, and applied skillfully and as it was intended.

We're also proud to highlight that the Sensory Profile 2 was developed by Dr. Winnie Dunn, internationally recognized scholar, occupational therapist, and Distinguished Professor in the University of Missouri Department of Occupational Therapy. Dr. Dunn's groundbreaking work has transformed the way clinicians worldwide understand and apply sensory processing concepts in practice.
