🎉 That’s a wrap on our Summer Courses!

Our summer courses officially concluded this week, and what a season it has been! From engaging discussions and hands on learning to special guest appearances by Charlie Ward and Gene Deckerhoff, our members continued to prove that curiosity never takes a vacation.

While classes have ended, there are still plenty of lectures, special events, clubs, and activities happening throughout the summer. We hope you’ll continue to stay connected with your OLLI community.

As we look ahead to an outstanding Fall Semester and the exciting conclusion of our 35th Anniversary celebration, we’d like to thank our members, instructors, volunteers, and supporters for making this milestone year so memorable.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the OLLI at FSU exhibit at this weekend's The Alzheimer's Project, Inc. Alzheimer's Education and Training Conference.

It was a pleasure sharing how OLLI helps adults stay engaged through lifelong learning, social connections, clubs, travel, and special events. For caregivers, finding opportunities to learn something new and connect with others can be an important part of self-care.

A special thank you to OLLI President Kent Putnam for representing OLLI and helping spread the word about our programs and community.

✨ Congratulations to our 2026 OLLI at FSU Scholarship recipients!

This spring, we were proud to recognize our scholarship recipients during the OLLI at FSU Spring Business Meeting & Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. Please join us in celebrating:

🎓 Carly Lewis — First-year medical student
🎓 Alexandra Negrin-Perea — Army veteran and doctoral student in FSU’s Combined Counseling and School Psychology program
🎓 Chalice Daniel — 1st year grad student, pursuing a Master of Public Health degree concentration in policy, specializing in Epidemology.
🎓 Xueqi Cheng — Ph.D. student in Computer Science (photo not shared at student’s request)

These students represent the future of aging studies, advocacy, research, healthcare, and community leadership. Their passion for addressing both the problems and joys of aging in America reflects the mission and values of OLLI at FSU.
