And that’s a wrap on GPSW 2026 - we had awesome representation of the studio this year: 9 current students, 2 future students, and 2 alumni who were faculty-interns. Already looking forward to next year!!

FSU Saxos had a fun last night at GPSW 2026!! Dr. Deibel cooked a Tuscan feast of Salsiccia e fagioli all’uccelletto, Pesto Farfalle, and salad with the help of some very able sous chefs (and without any proper cookware)! We talked studio plans for next year, and then the students coached Dr. Deibel on some improv comedy to finish the evening! Buon Appetito e Buon viaggio, Sassofonos!

This Tuesday, our Wind Ensemble saxos put on an OUTSTANDING concert, celebrating 250 years of American music! They played works by Key, Gould, Schuman, Thurston, Kamen, Joplin, Bernstein, Sousa, Ives, Copland, Williams, Hanson, and Ward. An extremely patriotic way to end our Spring semester, done so well by our saxos and the Wind Ensemble! A very big congratulations to them!!🎷🎉
