______________________________________________________

📖 I deliver parcels in Beijing

In 2023, I Deliver Parcels in Beijing became the literary sensation of the year in China. Hu Anyan’s story, about short-term jobs in various anonymous megacities, hit a nerve with a generation of young people who feel at odds with an ever-growing pressure to perform and succeed.

📖 Forever president: a biography of Kim IL Sung

Kim Il Sung ruled his country, North Korea, for longer and shaped it more profoundly than almost any other modern leader. He created a unique and seemingly bizarre and menacing political and social system, establishing a dynasty that has maintained it for two more generations.

【Building on Open within Our Community and Striving for Open for All】

HKBU Library celebrates open access initiatives and empowers students, researchers and the broader society with our open for all Digital Scholarship Projects and Chinese Medicine databases. Visually rich and easily accessible, the Chinese Medicine database is a leading digital platform that advances traditional Chinese medicine research with modern information technology.

As we strive to provide the best service possible to our community, we collaborate with other local and overseas libraries to offer our students and faculty Interlibrary Loan Service (ILL). By partnering with our peer institutions through the Joint University Librarians Advisory Committee (JULAC), we maximize access to key research databases and e-journals.

【Open Access Week 2026 - Bridge Us with Open Access: From Cost to Commons】

Exploring the theme “The Cost of Knowledge”, International Open Access Week 2026 poses deep questions around the escalating costs of accessing and sharing knowledge. At HKBU Library, we build on our established commitment to making resources openly accessible to our community as we work toward a more open and equitable future for all.

Through our institutional repository, transformative publishing agreements, and collaborative networks like Interlibrary Loan and consortium partnerships, we ensure open and broad access to scholarly resources.
