Thyssen@KWI Fellowship in Germany

Applications are now open for the Thyssen@KWI Fellowship, a prestigious research fellowship at the Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities (KWI) in Essen, Germany.

📅 Fellowship Period:
1 April 2027 – 30 September 2027

👩‍🎓 Who Can Apply?
The fellowship is open to outstanding researchers in the humanities, cultural studies, and social sciences who:
✔ Hold a PhD
✔ Have several years of postdoctoral research experience (R3 level)
✔ Propose a research project that aligns with KWI's research agenda

International researchers are encouraged to apply. German scholars are also eligible if they demonstrate substantial international research experience and collaborations.

Visiting Fellowship Programmes in Denmark

The Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) at Aarhus University invites outstanding researchers from around the world to join its vibrant and interdisciplinary academic community.

Fellowship duration
Applicants can apply for a visiting fellowship with a duration of a minimum 2 months and up to 6 months.

Kindly be aware that the institute operates at a reduced pace during January, July, and August, primarily due to holiday periods. Therefore, any fellowship during these months can only be as part of a longer visit, for instance, a 6 month fellowship.
