✨ Year 11 Graduation Mass & Prize Giving Ceremony 🎓💙💛

Yesterday evening, our Sacred Heart College community gathered to celebrate a memorable milestone as we bid farewell to our Year 11 students.

The celebrations began with a Thanksgiving Mass held on the school playground, nestled between our Junior and Senior Schools—the two places that have been our students’ home, haven, and second family for the past eleven years. It was here that they grew, learned, discovered their talents, and blossomed into the remarkable young women they are today.

The Mass was celebrated by Fr Marco Portelli and Fr John Scicluna SJ and was coordinated by our School Chaplain, Ms Ben. Dressed in their graduation gowns in the College colours of blue and yellow, our graduates participated wholeheartedly, making the celebration both meaningful and memorable for everyone present.

Following the Mass, Head Girl Jade Nygaard Andersen and Sub Head Girl Nicole Farrugia Wismayer delivered a speech reflecting on their journey through Sacred Heart College, recalling cherished memories, lifelong friendships, and the values that have shaped them over the years.

The ceremony continued with an address by our College Director, Dr Gauci, after which the graduates were presented with their School Leaving Certificates. Academic prizes for Years 10 and 11 were awarded in recognition of outstanding achievement, alongside special awards celebrating values, perseverance, and commitment to promoting children’s rights.

As our graduates embark on a new chapter, we wish each one of them every success and happiness in the years ahead. May they continue to grow into compassionate, courageous, and inspiring leaders, carrying with them the Sacred Heart values that have guided them throughout their years at our College. We are confident that wherever life leads them, they will make a positive difference in the world.

As part of the National Literacy Agency’s Aqra fis-Sajf campaign, our school library will be opening on selected days throughout the summer holidays.

🚀 Day 3 – Final Day in Leiden 🇳🇱

Our final day began with the presentations from the Concurrent Design Workshop, where the student teams showcased their satellite mission designs and answered questions from the audience, highlighting the hard work and collaboration that took place throughout the workshop.

Students then took part in a Space Careers session, beginning with an inspiring panel discussion featuring professionals working in the space sector. This was followed by an interactive role-play activity, allowing students to explore the many career opportunities available within the space industry.

As the programme came to an end, students reflected on three unforgettable days of learning, teamwork, and international collaboration. From presenting their projects to working alongside students from across Europe, the experience has provided valuable lessons that extend far beyond the classroom.

Our students represented Malta with enthusiasm and professionalism, making the most of every opportunity offered during this incredible experience.

🍕✨ Year 4's Recipe for Fun! ✨🍕

What better way to celebrate the end of a busy period than by sharing good food and great company? Our Year 4 students enjoyed a fantastic pizza-making experience where they stepped into the role of young chefs for the day.

From stretching the dough to carefully selecting and arranging their toppings, the children embraced every part of the process with enthusiasm and creativity. The highlight, of course, was tasting their freshly made pizzas and sharing plenty of smiles and laughter along the way! 🍅🧀👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Experiences like these remind us that learning also happens beyond the classroom, as students build confidence, independence, and social skills while creating special memories with their classmates.

A wonderful way to round off a busy term, Year 4! 🌟
