October is Dyslexia Awareness Month!
In the SEHS, our Reading Specialist and School Psychology programs share a commitment to helping every child become a confident, successful reader.
Reading specialists provide evidence-based literacy instruction, while school psychologists contribute assessment, consultation, and data-based decision-making. Together, they partner with educators and families to support students with dyslexia and strengthen literacy outcomes. Books can open meaningful conversations about dyslexia and learning differences! Here are three wonderful titles to explore with children!

First and foremost, we want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has signed up to participate in our SEHS Trunk or Treat event and those who were planning to attend. However, after careful consideration of our plans for this year’s event, we have made the difficult decision to cancel it.

The ongoing construction activity in and around our building has significantly reduced the available outdoor space compared to previous years. Moreover, we have concerns about ensuring the safety of children and families due to the proximity of active construction areas and the potential for attendees to inadvertently enter restricted spaces.

We kindly request that you share this update with anyone who has expressed interest in attending or participating. We truly appreciate everyone’s understanding and look forward to exploring future community event opportunities once construction is complete.
