Wichita State University Student Support Services Student Support Services is a federally funded program through the U.S. We help our participants persist and graduate with a bachelor's.

The Student Support Services (SSS) Program is one of nine (9) TRIO programs at Wichita State University and serves 250 eligible WSU students annually. The program is supported through a competitive grant process that is submitted to the United States Department of Educat

ion. The present grant totaling $494,929.00 is the largest grant received for a SSS project in the state of Kansas. Mission Statement:
To provide academic support services that help first generation, limited income students, and students with disabilities successfully persist and graduate from Wichita State University. Vision:
To become a model of excellence in assisting first generation, limited income students, and students with disability to persist and graduate from college. Core Values:

SSS offers a variety of services specifically geared towards providing a basis for the successful education of eligible students. Academic advisors are each assigned a specific number of students, thus enabling the advisor to personalize those services essential to meeting the academic needs of each student. The Project Offers:

“This is my first year at WSU after transferring and TRIO has helped make the transition less stressful. The monthly advising keeps me organized and on top of my work, helping me maintain my 4.0 GPA. It can be hard managing school life and regular life, but TRIOS resources, such as their seminars, are a big assistance. TRIO also provides materials like textbooks and printing that help me save for other school expenses. I am glad to be part of TRIO and am grateful for all the help they have given me!”
