🎉 Welcome, BBA Management Class of 2026!

The Department of Management was delighted to welcome our new CityUHK BBA in Management students at the 2026 Student Orientation.

Professor Bonnie Hayden Cheng, Head of the Department of Management, delivered welcoming remarks to the new cohort. Mr Cyrus Chau, Programme Leader, introduced the BBA Management programme. Students also met our faculty members and learned about the programme structure, joint-degree and double-major opportunities, as well as a wide range of departmental activities and support services.

Highlights included introductions to entrepreneurship projects, mentoring, exchange opportunities, external competitions, career advisory and internship support, and Career and Leadership Centre services. The day concluded with a campus tour led by our enthusiastic student mentors.

Thank you to all faculty members, teaching and administrative staff, and student mentors for making the event a warm and informative start to the academic year. We wish our new BBA Management students every success ahead!

🎉 Welcome, Master of Arts in Global Business Management (MAGBM) Class of 2026!

The Department of Management was delighted to welcome our new MAGBM students at the 2026 Student Orientation.

Professor Bonnie Hayden Cheng, Head of the Department of Management, delivered a welcoming speech together with the Programme Leader, Professor Stan Li. Deputy Programme Leader Dr Amy Wang also introduced the programme and shared key academic information with the new cohort. Students met faculty members and learned about programme arrangements, International Business Discovery, the Innovation Project, and career-development supports.

A big thank you to our faculty members, teaching and administrative staff for making the day informative and welcoming. We wish our new students a rewarding and successful year ahead!

We are very pleased to inform you our very first Executive Mentoring Program will be launched this coming August. In this mentoring program, we will invite experienced executives to be your mentors. These mentors will be able to share valuable insights on career planning and professional development with you. This program runs from Aug 2026 to June 2027. An executive mentor will be assigned to you by the program coordinator with reference to the information given in your application.

Priority will be given to final year students in either HRM or SIM stream. Only a maximum of 21 students will be accepted to this program. The coordinator reserves the right to select suitable applicants if the number of applications exceeds the quota for the program.

Successful applicants are required to attend the following sessions on campus:
• Briefing Session: August 22 (Saturday) at 3:00 PM
• Opening Ceremony: August 29 (Saturday) at 10:30 AM

Three inspiring CityU MGT alumni—Kathy Ho, Daisy Lam, and Jeremy Wong—returned on 13 June to share candid career insights with our undergraduates.

The session sparked lively discussion, with students raising thoughtful questions about CV strategies, employability, and how to position their co-curricular experiences. Originally planned for two hours, the session ran overtime due to the enthusiastic exchange.
