Stage Management Experiential Programme is back! ✨✨✨ Our Stage Management Experiential Programme has been highly popular among students over the past two years, with some participants even being selected to join the musical production team and gain first-hand backstage experience while discovering the magic behind stage productions! This year, the Stage Management Experiential Programme returns by popular demand. This semester's programme will cover the fundamentals of stage management, sound operations, and costume, as well as career sharing. 🎭 If you're interested in stage management or behind-the-scenes production work, these four introductory workshops are perfect for you! What's more, outstanding participants this semester will have the opportunity to join the CityUHK Musical backstage team, take part in large-scale productions, and gain valuable hands-on experience. 👀 If you're curious about what happens behind the curtain and want to learn more about stage management, don't miss this opportunity! 😆🎬

🎉🏆香港城市大學普通話辯論隊（城大普辯隊） 於 2026 年 7 月 24 日至 30 日派出 6 位隊員參加由澳門科技大學主辦嘅2026「星耀大灣」澳門國際華語演辯文化節辯論賽，並於灣區組勇奪季軍佳績！而姚栖桐（管理學三年級）更於複賽及半決賽獲得最佳辯手。👏

參賽隊員包括：
鄭詩雅（經濟及金融學一年級）
李奕沖（經濟及金融學博士生）
歐陽瑞嬉（管理學二年級）

今屆賽事吸引超過 40 支來自不同院校嘅隊伍參賽，當中包括北京師範大學、澳門科技大學、香港理工大學等高等學府。經過連日激烈交鋒，城大普辯隊憑藉出色嘅演辯技巧以及沉著自信嘅臨場表現，成功喺灣區組脫穎而出，奪得季軍殊榮！🥉✨

呢份佳績有賴隊員們嘅努力付出，以及共同進步嘅團隊精神。再次恭喜城大普辯隊！🎊期待佢哋未來繼續突破自我，為城大再創佳績！💪🔥

From 24 to 30 July 2026, the CityUHK Putonghua Debating Team (CityUHK PDT) sent six members to participate in the 2026 Stars of the Greater Bay Area Macao International Chinese Speech and Debate Cultural Festival Debate Competition, organised by the Macau University of Science and Technology. 👏 👏 The team achieved an outstanding result by securing Second Runner-up in the Greater Bay Area Division. In addition, Yao Qitong (Year 3, Management) was awarded Best Debater in both the Second Round and the Semi-finals. 🎉🏆

Ouyang Ruixi (Year 2, Management)
Xiao Yufan (Year 1, Economics and Finance)

This year’s tournament attracted more than 40 teams from various universities, including Beijing Normal University, Macau University of Science and Technology, and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. After several days of intense debate, CityUHK PDT stood out in the Greater Bay Area Division through their exceptional debating skills and confident performances, earning a Second Runner-up title. 🥉✨

This achievement reflects not only the dedication and hard work of the team members but also their team spirit and continuous improvement. Congratulations once again to CityUHK PDT on this remarkable accomplishment! 🎊 We look forward to seeing them continue to grow, excel, and achieve success in the future. 💪🔥

香港城市大學廣州企業及文化考察團2.0已經喺5月26至28日順利舉行！🚩 喺今次三日兩夜嘅旅程中，40位同學參觀多個喺廣州落户嘅中國知名公司及企業，包括「小鵬汽車」🚗、遊戲公司「三七互娛」👾、網路購物網站「唯品會」🛍️ 、「雲灣具身智能創新中心」🤖及「益雲全球美妝」💄等等，了解近年中國品牌嘅高速發展及版圖擴張！👀✨

今次我哋仲特別安排同學一齊到戲院觀賞最近好評如潮、突破10億票房嘅潮汕方言電影 — 「給阿嬤的情書」💌🎬，以及參觀廣州華僑博物館嘅電影道具專題展🎞️🚲及常規展覽，認識中國海外華僑歷史。最後，每位同學各自以一份代表廣州嘅手信，分享參與今次考察團嘅感想及心得！💡

希望兩次五月舉行嘅廣州企業及文化考察團能夠為80位參與同學開啟認識中國品牌及經濟發展嘅大門，並呈現更多廣州多姿多彩嘅面向俾大家認識！🤖💄👾⛰️🚠

CityUHK Guangzhou Enterprise and Cultural Study Tour 2.0 was successfully held from 26 to 28 May! 🚩 During this three-day tour, 40 students visited several renowned Chinese enterprises based in Guangzhou, including XPENG Motors 🚗, Game Company 37 Interactive Entertainment 👾, Online Shopping Website Vipshop 🛍️, Yunwan Embodied AI Innovation Centre 🤖, and YiYun Global Beauty💄, gaining an understanding of the rapid development and expansion of these Chinese brands. 👀✨

In addition to company visits, the students watched the recent hit film "Dear You," which broke the 1 billion yuan mark at the box office nationwide and received widespread acclaim. 💌🎬 They also visited the Guangzhou Overseas Chinese Museum, which features the movie props from "Dear You" 🎞️🚲 and regular exhibitions, providing insights into the history of overseas Chinese. Each student concluded their tour by sharing a souvenir representing Guangzhou, reflecting on their experiences and thoughts throughout the journey.

We hope the two study tours held in May have provided 80 students with insights into Chinese brands and economic development, as well as offered a glimpse into various vibrant aspects of Guangzhou. 🤖💄👾⛰️🚠
