We’re excited to share this KTBS story celebrating 10 years of LaPIXEL Academy!

Since 2016, LaPIXEL has given local teens the opportunity to explore storytelling, character design, pixel art, teamwork, and video game development through a hands-on summer experience at LSUS and its Digital Arts Program.

Over the past decade, more than 150 students have participated in the program and created roughly 45 original games. We’re incredibly proud of the creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration our students bring to LaPIXEL each summer.

Thank you to KTBS for highlighting this milestone and to everyone, including LaPREP, who has helped support LaPIXEL over the years!

SENIOR PORTFOLIO SHOW: The LSUS Digital Arts Senior Portfolio Show is one of our favorite events each year. It's not only an awesome send-off to our graduating students, but also a chance for them to showcase their best work to their family, members of the Shreveport-Bossier community, and potential employers.

To our recent graduates and alumni:

The state of Louisiana has a Digital Media Specialist position based in Baton Rouge, which is being advertised with the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance. The position will primarily be responsible for videography, social media engagement, and website management. The position is part of a collaborative communications team and will work alongside another digital media specialist on their staff.
