Campus. From the beginning, the priority has been to aid people from diverse backgrounds to improve the quality of their lives and become contributing participants in this community's cultural and economic development. Southern University at Shreveport Metro Campus will have a delayed start today, June 16, 2026, due to a power outage caused by an electrical fire in the area. At this time, we anticipate campus will open at 11 am.

Metro Campus faculty and staff only will work remotely until 11am. Essential employees are required to report to work at your normal report time.
