The Institute for Nonprofit Administration and Research is a nonprofit education and research unit at Louisiana State University Shreveport.

The Institute for Nonprofit Administration and Research (INAR) is a division of the College of Arts and Science at LSU-Shreveport. We offer nonprofit education through the Masters in Nonprofit Administration accredited by the Nonprofit Academic Centers Council. Our research services include a wide variety of program evaluations and survey research. The Institute also provides research and analysis for local, state, and regional businesses and nonprofit agencies.

👑 INAR has royalty in the house! 💜💚💛

We're excited to celebrate our very own Jeffery Brasher, INAR Outreach Coordinator and Nonprofit Administration Adjunct Faculty member, and his wife, Auburn Brasher, as King and Queen XXIX of the Krewe of Elders!

In addition to his royal duties, Jeffery serves as the krewe's Fundraising Chair, helping support its commitment to community outreach and service.

The Krewe of Elders brings Mardi Gras spirit and joy to senior centers, assisted living facilities, veterans' homes, and beyond. Through community visits, celebrations, and special events, its members make a meaningful difference throughout our community.

We're proud to see Jeffery continuing his passion for service beyond INAR. Congratulations to Jeffery and Auburn! 👑🎭

💰 Building financially strong nonprofits starts with the right strategies, resources, and relationships!

We had a fantastic turnout for Financing the Mission: Building Financially Strong Nonprofits, hosted by the Louisiana Alliance for Nonprofits, co-hosted by INAR, and sponsored by Bonvenu Bank!

Our panelists shared valuable insights on building relationships with banking partners, fraud prevention, internal controls, maintaining operating reserves, and cash flow forecasting.

👏 A special thank you to our panelists, Martha Tyler (Moms on a Mission), Kevin Pesnell (Bonvenu Bank), Jamie Jones (Community Support Programs), Josh Trahan (Carr, Riggs & Ingram), and Dr. Heather Carpenter (INAR), along with moderator Michael Colston (Bonvenu Bank).

📊💜 ICYMI: Research That Reveals Community Impact!

What difference is The Highland Center making? INAR partnered with the Center to find out!

Through 321 surveys, our researchers found that Highland Center participants were significantly more likely than other community respondents to report improvements in education, job skills, financial stability, housing, and community engagement.

The findings highlight meaningful progress while identifying opportunities to strengthen services and address community needs.

Great conversations, valuable insights, and a room full of nonprofit professionals! ☕💙

Our October 8 At the Table with INAR breakfast brought together nonprofit leaders for a morning of learning, networking, and collaboration!

👏 James Cook with Louisiana Works shared how nonprofits can take advantage of the Incumbent Worker Training Program (IWTP) to invest in employee training and development.

💡 Dr. Heather Carpenter led a discussion on nonprofit funding and financial sustainability, followed by small-group conversations where participants exchanged fundraising strategies, ideas, and experiences.

We loved seeing such a great turnout and, even better, the meaningful conversations happening around the tables!
