The Edward de Bono Institute for Creative Thinking and Innovation warmly congratulates two esteemed colleagues on their recent appointments at the University of Malta.

Congratulations to Professor Leonie Baldacchino on her appointment as Pro-Rector for Internationalisation, Enterprise and Outreach, and to Professor Noellie Brockdorff, Chairperson of the Institute's Board, on her appointment as Pro-Rector for People, Quality and Communications.

These appointments are a testament to their outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to advancing excellence in higher education. Their appointments reflect the University's continued commitment to strengthening its international engagement, fostering a people-centred culture, promoting quality enhancement, and building meaningful connections with society.

We also extend our congratulations to Rector-Elect Professor Frank Bezzina and wish the new leadership team every success as they guide the University of Malta into an exciting new chapter.

On behalf of everyone at the Edward de Bono Institute, we wish Professors Baldacchino and Brockdorff every success in their new roles and look forward to working together in support of the University's future development and impact.

πŸŽ“ Today the University of Malta hosted its 4th annual Research Expo and, as always, we were delighted to be right in the thick of it! 😁 In the morning, our Institute Director, Prof. Margaret Mangion, delivered a presentation during the plenary session, while PhD student Michela Debono presented her work in progress during one of the Doctoral Candidates' parallel sessions. In the afternoon, resident academics Dr. Lisa Pace and Prof. Leonie Baldacchino delivered presentations during the Expo parallel sessions πŸ“šβœ¨
We are also proud that Prof. Baldacchino formed part of the UM Research Expo Scientific Committee for the second consecutive year πŸ‘ A big thank you to the University of Malta for this invaluable opportunity to disseminate research, exchange ideas across faculties and disciplines, and foster greater collaboration by breaking down academic silos. Well done to everyone involved in making the Expo such a success! πŸ™ŒπŸ”¬
